Live tracking of Namo Bharat train, parking status feature also launched

Lucknow| For the first time in India, passengers can now know the status of live train tracking and real-time parking through ‘RRTS Connect’ app, which is going to be quite convenient for travel. NCRTC has launched two leading features on ‘RRTS Connect’ app, taking a big step towards enhancing passenger convenience and travel efficiency which will set a new benchmark for public transport in India.
For the first time in the country, passengers of Namo Bharat trains can now avail live train tracking and live parking status, which will provide them real-time information of Namo Bharat train, which will make their travel experience easier and more efficient. The live train tracking feature provides passengers with moment-to-moment updates of train arrivals, which also shows the exact position and location of Namo Bharat trains. This enables passengers to plan their journey accurately, letting them know when the next train will arrive at their station.

In addition to train arrival times, the facility also provides information about the next station as well as distance and estimated arrival times. Similarly, the live parking status facility will provide real-time updates on the availability of parking space at RRTS stations, which is a first for passengers. Passengers can now see the current busyness of parking spaces, helping them to make decisions in advance about where to park their vehicles. This will save passengers’ time and they will get parking without any delay.

Adequate parking facilities for more than 8,000 vehicles are being provided at RRTS stations from Delhi to Meerut. These new features make the features already present in the ‘RRTS Connect’ app, such as ticket booking, station navigation and last-mile connectivity options, more effective. Options like “feeder bus service” bike, auto and cab booking are also available on the app, ensuring last-mile connectivity for passengers.

Additionally, “Station Facilities” provides passengers with detailed information about the station’s facilities, including drinking water, toilets, elevators, and escalators, as well as the station layout to aid navigation. The app also facilitates direct communication from the station control panel via phone or WhatsApp for any assistance and includes a “lost and found” feature to help recover lost items.

By introducing live train tracking and parking status for the first time in India, NCRTC is not only setting a new standard for public transport but also significantly enhancing the travel experience for Namo Bharat train passengers. Currently, 42 kilometers of RRTS corridor is running for passengers. It has nine stations, which include Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, Duhai Depot, Muradnagar, Modinagar South, Modi Nagar North and Meerut South. Along with this, trial run is also going on on the Delhi section from New Ashok Nagar to Sahibabad. Once this section is operational, the total operational length of the corridor will increase to 54 kilometres.
