Not crime and punishment, but the spirit of three new laws is justice: CM Yogi

New Delhi| Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath mentioned several things at the launch of the National Conference (26-27 November) on the role of forensic science and cyber security in the justice process under new criminal laws on the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Indian Constitution. CM Yogi also inaugurated the new auditorium in the Forensic Institute. Also provided certificates of various courses to the children.

CM Yogi said that with the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, three new laws were implemented in the country from July 1. These three laws are the Indian Code of Justice, the Indian Civil Defense Code and the Indian Evidence Act. The meaning of all these is not the Criminal Code and the Penal Code, but the Code of Justice. This is the Code of Civil Defence. Under this, first evidence will be collected, after that the criminal will be put in the dock. The first condition of good governance is to establish the rule of law. The rule of law has been firmly established in the state for the last seven and a half years. The rule of law of the state is being discussed in the country and abroad.

Chief Minister Yogi said that the date of 26 November 1949 is an important date for the history of independent India. The Constitution made by Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the son of Mother India, was adopted by India 75 years ago. Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for celebrating this date as ‘Constitution Day’ across the country from 26 November 2015.

CM Yogi said that development work is happening rapidly with the use of technology. But, some people are misusing it and causing financial injury to people. In such a situation, technology will have to be used positively to prevent incidents like cyber frauds and digital arrest. If people with positive thinking run away from technology, negative people will dominate it. In such a situation, we should not let them dominate. To deal with cyber frauds, in the first phase, cyber police stations have been established in 18 ranges of the state. After this, 75 Janapadas were established. Today, one cyber help desk each operates at all 1,775 police stations in the state. Under this, the first Uttar Pradesh State Institute of Forensic Sciences was established in the state.

CM Yogi said that the land of the institute was captured by a dreaded land mafia in a dark age (SP government) of the state. In such a situation, action was taken against the land mafia and the land was vacated. Today a grand institute stands on the same land, where various courses are being taught. What was the situation in Uttar Pradesh before the year 2017 is not hidden from anyone. The youth of the state were facing identity crisis. Law and order was completely destroyed. During that time hooliganism was at its peak. A decent person could not come on the streets. He was afraid to come out of the house. The dreaded criminals and mafia were free-spirited and ran parallel governments.

He said that the adverse effect of that time was that the youth and citizens of the state faced an identity crisis. Today the state is riot free, goon free and mafia free. The government has recruited on a large scale on vacant posts in the police in the last seven and a half years. During this period, more than 1,54,000 police personnel were recruited in a transparent manner.
