‘Women to travel for free in UP Roadways buses on Rakshabandhan’- CM Yogi Adityanath
Lucknow| This time also women will be able to travel for free on Rakshabandhan in roadways buses in Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that in view of Rakshabandhan, women will be given free travel facility in State Road Transport Corporation buses from 18th to 19th August. He said that the centenary year of the historical ‘Kakori Kand’ is starting from August 9 and this entire year will be dedicated to the heroes of independence and in this series, from August 13 to 15, under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Jan Abhiyan, Tricolor will be hoisted at every office and residence of the state. Chief Minister Yogi also asked officials to keep a check on fake news. He said that any fake news should be immediately refuted with facts.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a meeting with senior officials of the state administration and reviewed the law and order and public welfare programs of the state. In the meeting, preparations for improving relief and rescue operations in the current flood situation and organizing festivals were thoroughly reviewed and necessary guidelines were given. According to a statement, Adityanath said in the meeting, ‘‘‘The views of various organizations should be heard democratically, whether it is farmers’ organizations or any other group. Their apprehensions should be addressed appropriately. However, no one can be given the freedom to spread anarchy.”
According to a government statement, the Chief Minister ordered the police and local administration to remain alert in view of the upcoming festivals and important events like police recruitment examination. According to the statement, the Chief Minister directed to continue relief and rescue operations as per local needs in all the districts affected by the monsoon.
