Supreme court grants interim bail to Arvind Kejriwal in excise policy case

New Delhi| The Supreme Court has given a big decision on the petition challenging the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by ED. On Arvind Kejriwal’s petition challenging his arrest in the money laundering case related to excise policy while granting interim bail to Arvind Kejriwal, the SC said that we have sent the case to a larger bench. Regarding this, Delhi government minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said, “If the arrest of the Chief Minister is declared illegal under PMLA, it will prove to be a huge milestone for the misuse of this law in the entire country and many people are waiting for this decision. He said that we hope that this decision will strengthen the constitution of our country.”

While delivering the verdict, the court said that Arvind Kejriwal has spent 90 days in jail. He is an elected leader. It depends on him whether he wants to continue in the role of CM or not. Let us tell you that the Supreme Court will announce the verdict on the petition of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal challenging the arrest of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by the Enforcement Directorate in the money laundering case related to the alleged excise policy scam in Delhi on Friday. A bench headed by Justice Sanjiv Khanna will pronounce the verdict as per the July 12 list uploaded on the apex court website. The bench had reserved its verdict on Kejriwal’s plea on May 17. The bench also includes Justice Dipankar Dutta. Kejriwal was arrested on 21 March in a money laundering case.
