Report: Revenues of more than 720 companies could reach 39.4 lakh crore

New Delhi| With the help of Production Based Incentive (PLI) schemes, the revenue of more than 720 companies can go up to 459 billion dollars (39.4 lakh crore rupees) in 5-6 years. According to Goldman Sachs, the plan aims to increase manufacturing capabilities, reduce imports, boost exports and create jobs in various sectors.
According to the report, three projects in the Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC) battery in the energy transition could generate $24.7 billion in revenue with $2.3 billion in incentives. With 95 projects the automobile and auto components sector has already achieved sales of $1.3 billion with incentives of $3.2 billion. The telecommunications and networking product has already achieved sales of $8.3 billion.
14 solar photovoltaic (PV) module projects are expected to generate $64.6 billion in revenue from a three billion dollar incentive. A $9.5 billion stimulus in semiconductors could generate $53.1 billion in revenue. Electronics manufacturing is estimated to have revenues of $130.1 billion, with incentives of $4.8 billion. IT hardware expects $24.8 billion in revenue from a $2.1 billion stimulus.
