PM Modi conducts aerial survey of landslide affected areas of Wayanad
Wayanad| Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted an aerial survey of landslide affected areas in Wayanad, Kerala. He visited the site affected by the disaster. During the aerial survey, PM Modi saw the landslide site at the origin of Iruvazhinji Puzha river. Along with this, he also inspected the areas most affected by the tragedy. This visit of the Prime Minister has been made to provide assistance to the victims of the landslide in Wayanad and to take stock of the situation.
During his visit, PM Modi will chair a review meeting regarding the efforts being made for relief and rehabilitation. After this he will visit hospital to meet the injured people. Let us tell you that more than 400 people have lost their lives in the landslide that took place in Wayanad on 30th July. There is also news of hundreds of people being injured in this tragedy. There has also been huge loss of life and property in this tragedy. Teams of NDRF, SDRF, SOG and forest officers are engaged in relief and rescue operations.
