Make less oily yet tasty and crispy semolina pakodas with this easy recipe

Whether you want to eat them for breakfast or at any time of the day, semolina dumplings are always a good option. The special thing is that it does not take much time to make them and they are also very healthy snacks to pack in the lunch of husband or children in the early morning rush. Ingredients for making semolina pakodas
1. 1 cup semolina (Rava)
2. 1/2 cup yogurt
3. 1/2 cup onion (finely chopped)
4. 1 green chili (finely chopped)
5. 1 inch ginger (grated)
6. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
7. 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
8. 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
9. 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
10. Salt as per taste
11. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
12. Coriander (finely chopped)
13. Oil (for frying)

Method of making semolina pakodas
1. First of all, take semolina in a bowl and add curd to it and mix well.
2. After this, keep it covered for 15-20 minutes so that the semolina absorbs the curd.
3. Then add onion, green chili, ginger, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, salt and baking soda to the soaked semolina and mix well.
4. Keep in mind, the batter should be thick, but if it is too thick then you can add some water.
5. After this, finally add finely chopped coriander to it and mix.
6. Now heat some oil in a non-stick pan. With the help of a spoon, make small pakodas from the batter and put them in hot oil and fry them by turning them on medium flame till they turn golden.
7. Remove extra oil by taking out the pakodas on tissue paper. Serve hot dumplings with green chutney or tomato sauce.

Special tips
1. You can also make pakodas in an air fryer or oven. Bake in an air fryer at 180 °C for 10-12 minutes and in an oven at 200 °C for 15-20 minutes.
2. You can also add other vegetables like carrots, peas, or beans to the batter as per your choice.
3. Adding baking soda to the batter makes the dumplings crunchy.
4. You can also serve the pakodas with curd.
