First fog of the season in Ghaziabad, wind and AQI situation very serious
Ghaziabad| Fog has hit the district before the season, causing a huge reduction in visibility in the city. Ghaziabad and its surrounding areas were covered with fog this morning, while the speed of trains on Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Expressway (NH 9) has also slowed down.
The air of Ghaziabad is continuously becoming poisonous, and even after ten days of Diwali, there is no relief in AQI. Ghaziabad’s AQI reached 331 this morning, which falls in the severe category. Ghaziabad was among the most polluted cities of India at the time of Diwali, and the air here still remains at dangerous levels.
According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature this morning was recorded at 18.8 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature during the day is expected to be up to 29 degrees. The wind speed is estimated to be a normal 5 km per hour, but the city does not see any improvement in air quality.
Temperatures in the NCR are forecast to drop by 2 degrees from 20 November, but this is likely to have little effect on air quality. AQI in Ghaziabad and Greater Noida remains in the severe category, which remains a matter of concern for citizens.
