Biz Updates: Zomato workers get tip worth 97 lakhs; Air India launches Wi-Fi facility on select flights
New Delhi| On the last day of 2024 i.e. 31st December, Zomato employees have received Rs 97 lakh as tip. The company had received 140 orders per second by five in the evening. The goods that were most ordered at Quick Commerce included chips, fruit beer, cold drinks, ice cubes, and grapes. What caught everyone’s attention was the number of grape orders. The tradition of eating 12 grapes at midnight on New Year’s Eve may be linked to an old Spanish tradition and is believed to be for good luck and prosperity for the year ahead.
Air India introduced Wi-Fi internet connectivity services on domestic and international flights on its widebody Airbus A350 and Boeing 787-9 fleets, as well as select Airbus A321Neo aircraft. Air India has become the first airline to provide such services on flights within India. The service will allow passengers using Wi-Fi-enabled devices such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones with iOS or Android operating systems to connect multiple devices simultaneously at an altitude of 10,000 feet. The airline said that Wi-Fi is free for the initial period on domestic flights. In the coming time, this facility will be started in other aircraft of the fleet also.
