Adani Group and Google partner to increase clean energy use in India

New Delhi| Partnership in renewable energy was announced by Adani Group and Google. It aims to move forward to achieve the Sustainable Goals and add more clean energy to the National Grid. Under this agreement, clean energy will be supplied by Adani Group from the new solar-wind hybrid project located at the Renewable Energy Plant in Khawda, Gujarat.
According to the company statement, commercial operations from the new project could start in the third quarter of 2025. Adani Group has a large capacity in wind, solar, hybrid and energy storage, which enables the Group to supply energy to commercial and industrial customers of Renewable Energy. With this they can achieve their goal of reducing carbon emissions.
The group plans to focus on merchant, commercial and industrial customers, thereby helping the industries decarbonize. The company said the partnership will help Google achieve its goal of carbon-free energy of 24×7 while continuing cloud services and operations in India.
The partnership was announced on the completion of 10 years of the ‘Google for India’ initiative. On behalf of the leading tech company, it was said that we are partnering with Adani Group for energy solutions. This will help in decarbonization of Google Cloud Services in India.
Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), is India’s largest and one of the world’s largest renewable energy companies. The world’s largest renewable energy plant is being developed by AGEL in Khawda, Gujarat. It has a total capacity of 30 gigawatts.
