Government agency CERT-In’s new warning for Google Chrome users

Government agency CERT-In has issued a new warning for millions of users of Google Chrome. In this warning of the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team, many problems have been found in Google’s browser, due to which there is a risk of cyber attack. By taking advantage of these glitches in Chrome browser, cyber criminals can get access to users’ devices and leak their personal information on the dark web. The government agency has warned users about this problem and asked them to immediately update the web browser with the latest patch.

The government agency has issued a warning to Google Chrome web browser users saying that due to these glitches, cyber criminals can remotely access users’ devices. Also, software containing any virus can be installed on the device, due to which users may have to suffer the consequences. CERT-In said in its warning that two types of errors have been found in Google Chrome’s codebase, one of which is ‘Uninitialized Use’ and the ‘Insufficient Data Validation in Dawn’. Both these glitches have been found especially for desktop users of Google Chrome. Besides, the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team has also informed the users about the measures to avoid these irregularities.
