Vinesh Phogat disqualified from Paris Olympics Final, will miss medal due to overweight

Paris| India has suffered a major setback in Paris Olympics 2024 in which female wrestler athlete Vinesh Phogat who made it to the gold medal match of 50 kg freestyle wrestling event has been disqualified from the final match due to being overweight. Vinesh was supposed to play her gold medal match against USA wrestler late tonight at 12:45.

After Vinesh Phogat’s exit, a statement has been issued by the Indian Olympic Association which stated that it is very disappointing news that Indian female wrestler Vinesh Phogat, who was to play the gold medal match in the 50 kg freestyle category, has been disqualified for being overweight before the final match.
