‘Uttar Pradesh is consistently the top achiever in ‘ease of doing’ business’: CM Yogi

Noida| Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday launched ‘Semicon India-2024’ held in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. During this, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present along with PM Modi.
Thousands of businessmen from India and abroad will participate in it and in the coming time, a semiconductor park will also be built on the land of Yamuna Authority, in which all foreign companies will be encouraged to invest.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that I heartily welcome all the global leaders of the semiconductor industry, CEOs and Prime Ministers from all over the world. I am very grateful for this event being organized to implement the Prime Minister’s vision of establishing India as a global leader. Since the year 2020, we have been continuously affected by the biggest pandemic of this century, Covid-19. The global supply chain was hit by the ill effects of COVID-19 on the one hand and political global tensions on the other.
He said that at that time we were seen being affected by this in every field, be it automobile, medical equipment, every field related to electronic items. But, we are fortunate that through our Visionary Leadership, when the world was troubled by Covid-19, we successfully managed it. India takes this program forward by issuing notifications for the development of semiconductor and display manufacturing ecosystem.
He said that under the guidance and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi, special attention has been paid to IT sector, semiconductor, data center and electronic manufacturing in Uttar Pradesh also. 55 percent of the manufacturing of mobile parts that takes place all over India is taking place in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh has emerged as an exporter of consumer electronics. Samsung India has also established its display unit plant in Noida. Today Uttar Pradesh has been established as a big hub of data center. ‘Uttar Pradesh Semiconductor Policy-2024’ has been implemented to create semiconductor control environment in the state.
CM Yogi said that Uttar Pradesh is already being established as a global semiconductor design engineer. Many big companies already exist here. Among these, major companies like NCP and Synopsis are in the state. It has been decided to give industry status to IT industry in the state. So that the industrial land under the authorities can be given to IT companies at cheap industrial rates and electricity can also be supplied to all IT companies of 150 kW at industrial rates.
He said that many steps have been taken towards creating an investment friendly environment in the state. The state has continuously achieved the status of top achiever in ease of doing business. 27 factorial policies related to Semiconductor, IT, Data Centre, Electronic Manufacturing, Defense and Aerospace, Electric Vehicle, Warehousing and Logistics, MSME Textile and Tourism etc. are applicable in the state. We also have a dedicated policy for FDI Fortune Global 500 and Fortune India 500 companies in Uttar Pradesh.
