Malaika Arora’s father commits suicide by jumping off from the balcony

Mumbai| Anil Arora (67), father of actress Malaika Arora, committed suicide on Wednesday morning. The incident happened at 9 am. Anil committed suicide by jumping from the 7th floor of building Ayesha Manor in Bandra. The reasons are not yet known.

Police have not found any suicide note in the preliminary investigation. The body has been sent for postmortem. The body has been kept in Baba Hospital. He had taken VRS from Merchant Navy.

If DCP Raj Tilak Roshan is to be believed, preliminary investigation is revealing suicide. Police and forensic team are investigating keeping every angle in mind.

Malaika was in Pune when she got the news of her father’s demise. As soon as the information was received, the actress immediately reached Mumbai. Sources close to Malaika told PTI that Anil Arora did not commit suicide, it was an accident. Things will become clear after the detailed investigation.

Anil’s wife and Malaika’s mother Joyce said in a statement to the police that Anil used to sit in the balcony every morning and read newspapers. When she saw Anil’s sleepers in the living room on Wednesday morning, she went to the balcony. There she did not see Anil anywhere, so she peeked down where she found watchman shouting for help.

Joyce told that Anil was not suffering from any disease. He had only pain in his knees. Joyce also said that she and Anil got divorced years ago, but both were living together for a few years.
