‘Uttar Pradesh has a great branding opportunity with UPITS’- CM Yogi on Trade Show 2024
Lucknow| Uttar Pradesh government is continuously trying to promote domestic products. In this series, Uttar Pradesh International Trade Exhibition introducing entrepreneurs, manufacturers and businessmen from all over the world with ‘Craft, Cuisine and Culture’ of Uttar Pradesh will start from 25th and will be held till 29th September. The state government has successfully piloted the event in 2023 internationally to promote cottage industries under ‘One District One Product scheme’.
Reviewing the preparations for this event, which is going to be held in the sprawling campus of India Exposition Mart, Greater Noida, the Chief Minister said that the first edition of UP International Trade Show was held from 21 to 25 September 2023. In which there was participation of more than 0.3 million people including 2,000 exhibitors and more than 500 from 60 countries and more than 70 thousand buyers from different prefectures of the country.
First attempt in 2023 brought hopeful success, now the show’s theme this year should be ‘Unique Platform of Sourcing’. He said the whole world will interview Uttar Pradesh’s amazing ‘craft, cuisine and culture’ through international trade shows. The Chief Minister said that this international trade show is a global platform for entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs, manufacturers and exporters from sectors like large industries of Uttar Pradesh, IT/ITES, MSME, Startups, Education, Agriculture, Health, Tourism and Culture, Energy, ODOP. No stone should be left unturned to give it a grand appearance.
Expressing happiness over the registration of more than 2500 exhibitors in the trade show so far, the Chief Minister said that the successful organization of the trade show is getting the requisite support from Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Commerce, Department of Industry Promotion and Internal Trade and Ministry of MSME of Government of India. Invite more foreign buyers, entrepreneurs, companies by continuously communicating with Indian Ambassadors/High Commissioners posted in more and more countries. This multisector trade show is going to be a big helper in providing global markets to our local entrepreneurs, product and craft.
Vietnam will participate as partner country: Chief Minister informed that ‘Vietnam’ is cooperating as partner country in trade show this year. It’s delegation will attend the trade show. Vietnam’s high-end products will be displayed at trade show its cultural troupe will also be performed. Visitors will also be able to enjoy Vietnam and Indian cuisine.
Khadi centric fashion show will be the center of attraction, special session of FICCI, IRDAI to be held in the knowledge session: Emphasizing on making the trade show grand, the Chief Minister said that during this important 05 day trade show, knowledge sessions should also be organized on a special theme every day. A session should be organized on the insurance sector in collaboration with IRDAI, similarly, special sessions should be organized focusing on the efforts made in the state regarding innovation and startups. Union ministers should be invited to special sessions. Trade show will also hold Khadi centered fashion show. Chief Minister said that all 05 days cultural presentations should also be made showcasing the art culture of Uttar Pradesh, as well as special stalls should be set up for the visitors introducing the delicious cuisine of the state.
Buyers from more than 66 countries will participate in the five-day international trade show, having got 2500 exhibitors registered: The Chief Minister said that people from different states of the country as well as many countries are excited about the event and are coming to participate. In such a situation, considering its importance, all departments have an important role in the event. Roadshows can be held in different states to widely publicize it. The Chief Minister also directed to make arrangements accordingly;.
