UP government achieves a new record; completes the consolidation process of 1475 villages in three years

Lucknow|The Uttar Pradesh government has set an astonishing record in consolidation related works. In the current financial year, consolidation has been done so far in 82 villages of 40 districts of the state in eight months. Last year in 2023-24, consolidation was done in 781 villages of 74 districts of the state. In addition, since September last year, 705 village court was organized, in which 25,523 cases have been disposed of. In three years, the process of consolidation has been completed in 1475 villages.
Consolidation Commissioner GS Naveen said that in this financial year, consolidation has been done in 82 villages of 40 districts in eight months. At the same time, due to the consolidation process not being possible in 51 villages, it was separated from the consolidation process under section 6 (1) of the Act. Similarly, in the year 2023-24, consolidation process was completed in 781 villages of 74 districts. It had 330 grams of over 10 years in duration. The consolidation process was completed in 463 villages in the year 2022-23 and 231 villages in 2021-22, which is a record compared to the previous 10 years.
Overall, the consolidation process has been completed in 1475 villages in the years 2021-2022, 2022-23 and 2023-24. At the same time, the consolidation process was completed in 8 grams pending for more than 50 years, 72 grams pending for 30 years to 50 years and 296 grams pending for 10 years to 30 years. In this, the consolidation process pending for 63 years and 56 years was completed in village Mahuva and Gomadih of Azamgarh respectively. Apart from this, the consolidation process of village Savna and Bareji of Ghazipur was under consideration for 59 years and the consolidation process of village Belsadi for 55 years, which was completed.
Consolidation Commissioner informed that consolidation was under process in village Suabozh of Lakhimpur Kheri, village Malapur Jagdishpur of Sultanpur, Dhema village of Jaunpur for 53, 54 and 52 years respectively, which was completed. Apart from this, consolidation was under process for 48 years in village Anandapura of Sultanpur, 41 years in village Mohanpur of Bareilly, 35 years in village Chhachari Tip of Bijnor, 33 years in village Rehadiya of Badaun, 31 years in village Aldemau of Mau, 30 years in village Yakubpur and Mustafabad Dduwa of Bulandshahr, which was completed.
Simultaneously, in Kannauj, the records of 35 villages were burnt due to fire in 1990, disrupting the consolidation process for 34 years. The biggest challenge in this was to prepare new records. In such a situation, the Consolidation Commissioner constituted a committee under the chairmanship of the then Additional Director Consolidation. Also, after the recommendation of the committee, records of 8 out of 35 villages were created as a pilot project. Of these, the consolidation process of two villages Nandlalpur and Karnauli has been completed.
Not only this, last year the consolidation process of village Rampur Makrand of Lakhimpur Kheri, which was involved in the consolidation process, was completed in one year and in village Chak Rafatpur of Rampur in just eight months. He informed that since September last year till now, 705 Gram Adalats were organized in various districts of the state. Through this, 25,523 cases have been settled. Apart from this, in view of the interest and transparency of farmers, testing is going on with IIT Roorkee under a pilot project to conduct AI, block chain, drone and rover survey based consolidation. Along with this, action is also going on to develop GIS based software and mobile app. Soon the consolidation process will be conducted using these technologies.
