Traditional products of Uttar Pradesh to get a big platform, CM Yogi’s vision to become a medium

Lucknow| Yogi government is committed to making Uttar Pradesh an ‘enterprise state’. On one hand, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself often brands the products of the state from every platform. On the other hand, by directing the government, they also provide opportunities for branding their products to the entrepreneurs through various events. In this series, UP International Trade Show-2024 (UPITS-2024), which is going to be organized between 25th to 29th September, will prove to be a ‘Global Mahakumbh’ for the traditional entrepreneurs of the state. In this sequence, more than 270 local and traditional products entrepreneurs from Varanasi, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Jhansi mandals have registered so far under various categories. This process will accelerate further in the coming days.

The registered entrepreneurs are running various categories of enterprises including handloom, terracotta, handicrafts, small scale industries, MSME, ODOP, who will participate in this grand event. At the same time, new exporters, handicraftsmen and women entrepreneurs are also very excited and hopeful about participating in the event. CM Yogi’s policies are not only preserving the tradition of the state, but are also making access to the global market accessible for our products.

44 handicraftsmen, new exporters and women entrepreneurs from Varanasi division have registered to go to the International Trade Show. Umesh Singh, Joint Commissioner of Industries Department, informed that 20 entrepreneurs from One District One Product from 4 districts of Varanasi division, Varanasi, Chandauli, Jaunpur and Ghazipur will participate in the UP International Trade Show. At the same time, 16 entrepreneurs associated with micro small and medium enterprises (which include wooden toys, pink enamel, carpet, beverage, medical products bio fertilizer, masala noodles and Banarasi silk industry etc) will also participate. A total of 44 entrepreneurs, including 8 new exporters associated with the Banarasi silk saree and carpet industry, have registered to participate in the event.

At the same time, 134 handicrafts, new exporters and women entrepreneurs from Agra division have registered to participate in UPITS 2024. This includes 51 from Agra, 23 from Mathura, 56 from Firozabad, 4 from Mainpuri. These include exporters like Dower Footwear, Gupta Overseas, Stoneman etc. from Agra. A total of 7 entrepreneurs have registered in Prayagraj, in which entrepreneurs from 3 MSME units will also participate. These entrepreneurs will receive stalls at discounted rates at trade shows.

Whereas in UPITS 2024, 10 entrepreneurs from Jhansi, Lalitpur and Jalaun, all three districts of Jhansi division will participate with their products. 1 entrepreneurs from Jalaun, 2 from Lalitpur and 7 from Jhansi have so far proposed to take part in the trade show. Similarly, 22 entrepreneurs from different sectors, 3 from Badaun, 4 from Pilibhit and 3 from Shahjahanpur are participating in Bareilly. In total, 32 entrepreneurs from Bareilly division have ensured their participation in UPITS 2024 so far.
