The film ‘Love and War’ to be released in theaters on March 20, 2026
New Delhi| The makers of ‘Love and War’ starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal announced on Friday that the film will be released on March 20, 2026. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali (SLB), the film’s release date falls during the biggest holidays. It coincides with major festivals like Ramzan, Ram Navami and Gudi Padwa. It will be highly exciting to see Bhansali, Ranbir, Alia and Vicky on the big screen.
Bhansali’s film making is famous for its grandeur and emotional depth. His films are characterized by their rich visual aesthetic. Narratives often revolve around grand historical or mythological themes. They have the biggest characters. SLB last directed the Alia Bhatt-starrer biographical crime drama ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’.
He also produced and directed the period drama series ‘Hiramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’ which revolved around the lives of courtesans in Hira Mandi, a red-light district of Lahore during the Indian independence movement against the British Raj. It stars Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Sharmin Sehgal Mehta and Taha Shah Badusha.
Meanwhile, this is the second time Alia is working with her husband Ranbir, after the 2022 action adventure film “Brahmastra: Part One-Shiva”. She was last seen with Ranveer Singh in the romantic comedy film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ directed by Karan Johar.She will recently be seen in films like ‘Jigra’ and ‘Alpha’.
