‘Hindi is a friend of all local languages, PM also promoted Hindi on global forums’: Amit Shah

New Delhi| On the occasion of Hindi Day, Union Home Minister Amit Shah issued a message to the people of the country. Giving good wishes, he gave information that the Department of Official Language is bringing a portal for translation from Hindi in all the languages of the Eighth Schedule.
The Union Home Minister wrote in the a post on ‘X’ that Hindi Diwas is even more important for us this year because after Hindi is accepted as the official language, ‘Official Language Diamond Jubilee’ will be celebrated in the 75th year. This journey of 75 years has been important for Hindi, for the official language and for the respective languages of all the states. Hindi has seen many ups and downs. But today there is no competition between Hindi and any local language. In a way, Hindi is the friend of all local languages. Both complement each other. Be it Gujarati, Marathi, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil or Bengali, every language strengthens Hindi and Hindi strengthens every language.
He said, “If we look carefully at the Hindi movement, be it Raj Gopalacharya, Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Lala Lajpat Rai, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose or Acharya Kripalani, all came from areas where Hindi was not spoken. Was. Still, these people recognized Hindi as the official language. In the last ten years, under the leadership of PM Modi, a lot of work has been done to strengthen Hindi and local languages. PM Modi has proudly presented himself to the entire world, not only the country, by addressing him in Hindi at many international forums”
“Over the last ten years we have made several efforts to strengthen many local languages”, he said. We have proposed to make Hindi a major part of government work. In the coming days, the Department of Official Language is bringing a portal for translation from Hindi in all the languages of the Eighth Schedule, through which we will be able to translate letters and speeches in all languages with the help of AI in a very short time. This initiative will greatly strengthen Hindi and local languages.”
