Sensex Opening Bell: Stock market sluggish; Sensex falls 52.33 points, Nifty below 25400

New Delhi| Despite buying in FMCG shares on Tuesday, Sensex and Nifty witnessed slowdown. Britannia, Tata Consumer and HUL gained 1%, while Tata Motors shares fell more than 2%. The fall in Bluechip Company shares came after a major block deal of its 19 million shares.

At 10:03 am, the Sensex was seen trading at 82,919.03, down 68.03 (0.08%) points. On the other hand, Nifty slipped 7.75 (0.03%) points. It showed trading at a level of 25,376.00.

Shares of recently listed Bajaj Housing Finance rose 10% to Rs 181.48 on BSE. IPO investors’ money had more than doubled on the day of listing. Shares of Ola Electric also gained 5% as Goldman Sachs introduced coverage on the stock with a target price of Rs 160.
