New Delhi| Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra took oath as a Lok Sabha member. Priyanka Gandhi has been elected MP from Wayanad seat of Kerala.

During the swearing-in, Priyanka Gandhi said, “I, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who has been elected as a member of the Lok Sabha, solemnly swear that I will have true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India established by law”. I will keep the sovereignty and integrity of India intact and will faithfully discharge the duties of the post I am about to assume. Jai Hind.”

Priyanka Gandhi had a copy of the Indian Constitution in her hand after taking oath as MP. This moment was a historic moment for Priyanka Gandhi as she is taking oath as a member of the Lok Sabha for the first time.

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has won the by-election on Wayanad Lok Sabha seat of Kerala by a huge margin. He has defeated Communist Party of India candidate Satyan Mokeri by a huge margin of 4,10,931 votes. Priyanka Gandhi has got 6,22,338 votes and Satyan Mokeri 2,11,407 votes. At the same time, BJP candidate Navya Haridas came third with 1,09,939 votes.
