‘India is the land of Sanatan and Kashi is its center’-Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar in Varanasi
Varanasi| Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar inaugurated the ‘Namo Ghat’. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present on this occasion. The Vice President said that India is the land of Sanatan and Kashi is its centre. Jagdeep Dhankhar said in his address that Sanatan Dharma encompasses everyone and it has also worked to absorb the invaders. It teaches us unity and determination. Praising CM Yogi, he said that with his dedication and devotion, the Chief Minister is moving towards making Uttar Pradesh an enterprise state and making it the highest state.
He said that the way Prime Minister Modi is dedicated to conservation, creation, visionary and commendable development, Yogi Adityanath is doing the same thing as an ascetic in Uttar Pradesh. He praised Governor Anandi Ben Patel and said that she has benefited from his guidance on many occasions.
The Vice President described the inauguration of ‘Namo Gh’at as a moment of good fortune for himself. He said, “It is a great honor for me to inaugurate the world’s largest ghat”. When CM Yogi said that apart from India, where else are the ghats, it further strengthened my point. Kashi is the city of salvation and the traditions here remain constantly on fire
The Vice President also emphasized that the coincidence of Inauguration Day is very special. He said that this day is the 555th Prakash Parv of the first Guru of Sikhism, Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Along with this, he also remembered the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda and appreciated the glorious heritage of the tribal community.
Jagdeep Dhankhar said that India is moving towards development at a rapid pace and the target has been set to become a developed nation by 2047. Every Indian will have to contribute in this big yagya. Emphasizing the need to preserve India’s cultural heritage, he said that our sages have repeatedly reminded us that our cultural roots are the basis of our present and future. It is the responsibility of all of us to preserve it.
The Vice President also emphasized the indigenous spirit in his address. He said that Swadeshi lamps are a unique combination of soil, oil and cotton of the country. Even in global trade, we should keep the indigenous spirit in mind. Emphasizing on social harmony, he said that India is the foundation of social harmony. There may be differences, but “indifference” should be kept low. The special thing about festivals is cordial communication and taking care of the neighborhood.
He said that this traditional festival of Dev Diwali gives an opportunity to every section of the society to come together. This reflects the picture of changing India and this historic moment is extremely important for me. He said that with the inauguration of Namo Ghat, Varanasi has once again presented its cultural and historical heritage to the world with pride.
On this occasion, Vice President’s wife Sudesh Dhankhar, Governor Anandi Ben Patel, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, State Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Stamp and Registration Ravindra Jaiswal, MLA Dr. Neelkanth Tiwari, Saurabh Srivastava, Mayor Ashok Tiwari, MLC Dharmendra, Hansraj Vishwakarma, District Panchayat President Poonam Maurya, Sunil Patel and other dignitaries were present.
