External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar inaugurates Indian Mission in Geneva, also unveils statue of Dr. Ambedkar
New Delhi| Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar visited Switzerland on 12-13 September. The Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement saying that the Foreign Minister met the heads of various international organizations in Geneva, Switzerland. As well as UN Human Rights Council High Commissioner Volker Turk, World Health Organization Director Dr. Also met Tedros Gabresius. In these meetings, issues of multilateralism, human rights and current geopolitics were discussed. Besides, there was discussion on increasing cooperation in the field of public health and traditional health system.
External Affairs Minister inaugurated new Indian Mission in Geneva. The officers posted in the United Nations, World Trade Organization and Consul General of India will be present in this mission. External Affairs Minister Dr. on the premises of Indian Mission. Also unveiled the statue of Bhimrao Ambedkar. Besides, a hall of the mission was also named after famous human rights activist Hansa Mehta. Hansa Mehta played an important role in promoting gender equality in the global declaration of human rights. The External Affairs Minister also planted a tree in the campus as part of the ‘Ek Ped Maa k naam’ campaign.
