Delhi: Atishi can’t hoist the tricolor on Independence Day, CM Kejriwal’s demand rejected
Delhi| Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, in his own place, had demanded hoisting of the tricolor on the occasion of Independence Day by AAP Minister Atishi, which has been rejected by the General Administration Department. It is clear from this reply of the department that the letter written by Gopal Rai regarding hoisting the flag has no importance. The department made it clear that there were already rules in place for the August 15 and January 26 schedules and that there would be no change.
Let us tell you that Gopal Rai had written in his letter that CM Kejriwal wishes that the tricolor flag should be hoisted Atishi on the occasion of Independence Day. On this, the General Administration Department said that CM Kejriwal cannot give any written or oral order from jail. Therefore this will not be valid.
