BMW Group India showed its best ever performance in 2024 with 15,721 units sold

New Delhi| According to recent information provided by luxury car manufacturer BMW Group India, the company has achieved its best annual car delivery last year by selling 15,721 units with an 11 percent increase.
BMW Group India has also surpassed 3,000 EV deliveries so far. The company has crossed a milestone with this number in India. With this, BMW Group India has also become the first luxury car manufacturer in India to reach 3,000 EV deliveries.
The company delivered 15,721 cars (BMW and Mini) and 8,301 motorcycles (BMW Motorrad) between January – December 2024. BMW sold 15,012 units and Mini sold 709 units, the company said in a statement.
The automaker sold a total of 4,958 units in the October-December period last year, registering a 15 percent increase. In December alone the company sold the most units with a total of 2,244 units.
Vikram Pawah, President and CEO of BMW Group India, said, “Recording the highest ever car sales in India, BMW Group India has also passed the milestone of 15,000 cars”. BMW has been at the forefront of the Indian luxury car market in all segments including sustainable electric mobility, luxury class and aspirational premium compact segments.
The BMW luxury class sold 2,507 units, including the BMW 7 Series, BMW i7, BMW X7 and BMW XM. According to the company, almost every fifth car sold by BMW in India in 2024 was a top-of-the-range model.
In 2024, the BMW X7 was again the best-selling luxury class model. Since its launch, over 5,000 units of the BMW X7 have been delivered in India. BMW Group India said it also remains the most preferred option for luxury EVs.
In 2024, 1,249 units of fully electric BMW and mini cars were delivered and the I7 model was the best-selling EV in its class with 384 units.
BMW India started operations in 2007. The company has a manufacturing plant in Chennai, a parts warehouse in Pune, a training center in Gurgaon NCR.
