Radical changes were seen in every area in UP: CM Yogi
Lucknow| Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the definition of health in Ayurveda has been ‘Swasthasya Swathyam Laghurakshanam, Eager Vikar Prashman Cha’ i.e. the purpose of Ayurveda is to protect the health of a healthy person and to cure the disease of the patient. Ayurveda Day is celebrated today in the memory of the father of Ayurveda, its theme is ‘Ayurveda Innovation for Global Health’.
He said that radical changes have been seen in every field of health in UP. Today medical colleges are being built in every district. From 1947 to 2017, only 17 medical colleges were able to be built in UP, today medical colleges have been built or are being built in 64 districts in UP. 11 A new policy has been formulated for the district. Under this, the program of construction of medical college is being increased on war footing. Today UP has two AIIMS. AIIMS Delhi has been requested to give the land, set up a satellite center in Ghaziabad, so that the people of Hapur, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr can avail the benefits of Delhi AIIMS facility. A consensus is being reached for this. Will work to increase this program soon.
CM Yogi participated in the program organized on the ninth Ayurveda Day through video conferencing from Meerut. CM Yogi said that on the birth anniversary of Lord Dhanvantari, the god of health, the countrymen are getting the gift of a scheme worth thousands of crores from the lotus feet of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. CM Yogi expressed his gratitude to PM for laying the foundation stone of SIC Hospital, Ayushman Bharat facility starting for every citizen from 70 years, CDRI in UP and AIIMS Gorakhpur project to equip them with modern facility as well as starting all the medical institutions in the country.
He said that Uttar Pradesh is the state that provides maximum benefits of Ayushman Bharat facility. More than 5.14 crore citizens have received the Golden Card of Ayushman Bharat. More facilities have been increased for the workers. Under the guidance of PM Modi, through the Uttar Pradesh Labor and Employment Department, the government has built Atal Residential Schools at every divisional headquarters for construction workers within UP. This is a step taken towards a radical change in the field of education, in which big programs of free study, accommodation, educational and all-round development are going on for the children of registered construction workers. In order to enable the children of construction workers to get married free of cost, a mass marriage scheme and an amount of Rs 75,000 are being made available for the children. Besides, action to provide additional funds is also being increased when children of construction workers go for higher studies.
CM Yogi said that with PM Modi’s mantra ‘Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas’, work is being done to provide benefits of schemes to every section of the society without any discrimination. UP is the state that provides the highest number of houses (56 lakh) within the country. Toilets have been constructed in more than 2.62 crore houses. Under the Ujjwala scheme, 1.86 crore families have been given cylinders. The state government is providing free cylinders during Diwali and Holi. When the world was battered in front of Corona, the double engine government was giving allowance to the construction workers, then for the last four and a half years, 80 crore people are being given free ration in the country and 15 crore people in the state.
CM Yogi said that Meerut has emerged as the largest infrastructure of western Uttar Pradesh. Seven years ago the distance between Delhi and Meerut was covered in three and a half to four hours. Today, a 12-lane expressway has been built between Delhi and Meerut. Now this distance is covered in just 45 minutes. Rapid rail has connected Meerut and Delhi, this covers the distance of Delhi in just 40 minutes. Ganga Expressway is connecting Meerut to Prayagraj. After the expressway is built, this distance will be covered in just six to seven hours and in the 2025 Prayagraj Kumbh, people of Western UP will get the opportunity to get the virtue of taking bath in the Triveni of Sangam.
He said that the government has taken steps towards making Meerut a hub of sports items in the field of ODOP. Meerut Sports is fulfilling the needs of not only the country but the world in the item. The first sports university in the memory of hockey magician Major Dhyanchand is being built in Meerut. When this university is ready, we will work to promote talents from here for medals in the Olympics. This university will work to explore and hone new players with world class facilities.
CM Yogi said that new universities and technical centers are also being established in Meerut as big hubs of education. Today I have landed on Meerut airstrip and reached Sankatkheda in just 15 minutes. There is a lot of potential in Meerut. The country’s largest Jewar International Airport is being built. Yamuna Authority (just a few minutes away from here), Toy City, Film City, Apparel Park, Medical Device Park are going to be constructed. To fulfill the aspirations of the youth, all the work will be seen being done in Meerut and surrounding areas. To give new height to the link of development here, SIC Hospital (with 100 bedded modern facility) for state insurance employees through Labor Department in Meerut will be held at a cost of 150 crores, the foundation stone is also going to be laid by PM’s Karakamals.
