All parties have intensified preparations for the 10 assembly seats where by-elections will be held. The reason behind SP not declaring four more seats is said to be an alliance with Congress. But Congress has demanded five seats in the by-elections.

The Election Commission has not announced the dates of by-elections to be held on 10 assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh. Of the 10 vacant seats, five were held by Sissamau, Katehari, Karhal, Milkipur and Kundarki SP.
