CM Yogi inaugurates ‘Pink Bus Toilet’ for the women convenience

Lucknow| To provide great facilities related to the dignity and respect of women, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated ‘Pink Bus Toilet’ on Park Road, Civil Lines on the first day of Navratri. On this occasion, the Chief Minister flagged off door to door garbage collection vehicles, state-of-the-art sewage cleaning machines, water robots and de-watering fecal sludge safety machines procured from abroad under the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’. He also released Swachh Pandal poster on the occasion of Navratri Durga Utsav and inspired people to celebrate Zero Waste festival.

After cutting the ribbon and inaugurating the ‘Pink Bus Toilet’, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath went inside and inspected it and took information about the arrangements made in it. He also inaugurated the cafe built at the back of ‘Pink Bus Toilet’ and encouraged the women running this cafe by talking to them. With the launch of this ‘Pink Bus Toilet’ by the Municipal Corporation in the Civil Lines area, its number has increased to two.

Before this, a ‘Pink Bus Toilet’ is already operational in front of Buddha Gate on Ramgarhtal Road. ‘Pink Bus Toilet’ has been built by modifying roadways buses declared junk. It has the facility of Indian and Western toilet, wash basin, etc. Along with cosmetic facilities, cafe facilities are also provided in it. Solar system has also been installed in ‘Pink Bus Toilet’ to meet electricity related needs. A cafe has been built in the rear of the vehicle. With the operation of the cafe, women have also been linked to employment through the District Urban Development Agency (DUDA). Food items will be available in the cafe.

With the green signal being given to cleanliness vehicles by CM Yogi, the cleanliness system of the metropolis will become even stronger. CM Yogi today flagged off 12 small vehicles, two big vehicles of door to door garbage collection included in the Municipal Corporation’s cleaning fleet.

He also flagged off the De-Watering Fecal Sludge Safety Machine costing about Rs 6 crore. It separates sludge and sewage water by cleaning safety tanks in narrow streets and de-watering the machine itself. After that the water can be purified and poured directly into the river or pond. The Chief Minister also inaugurated the robot costing around Rs 50 lakh. Cleaning workers with remotely operated robots will not need to enter dangerous and cramped sewer pipes.
