Yogi government to rejuvenate ‘Naini Industrial Area’ with Rs 58.44 crore

Lucknow|Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPCIDA) is ensuring rejuvenation of Naini Industrial Area in Prayagraj district under Atal Industrial Infrastructure Mission with Rs 58.44 crore. This includes many facilities including road improvement, water supply, waste management and power infrastructure.

UPCIDA CEO Mayur Maheshwari said that through the upgradation works in the industrial area Prayagraj Naini, the state will get industrial opportunities and possibilities and Prayagraj will emerge as a strong industrial model.

Naini Industrial Area is an important center established in 1972. It is located only 17 km from Prayagraj and is located on Prayagraj-Mirzapur NH-76 E. This industrial area covers 776.60 acres and is complete with 12.78 km of road network and 23.05 km of drainage system. Its proximity to Prayagraj provides easy access for industrial development.

Under the project, about 2.6 km of roads will be upgraded in the industrial area. Wide, interlocking sidewalks will be built on both sides, improving pedestrian access and safety. At the same time, a new 200 metre deep tube well will be installed with a pipe of 400 mm diameter. Besides, a pumping plant will also be set up so that water supply can be ensured in the entire area. On the other side, concrete slabs and benches will be built on the sidewalks, entrances and main streets. In addition, the old field hostel and CFC building will also be repaired.

In view of security, public security will be improved by installing 18 CCTV cameras, two EV charging stations and two digital display boards in the area and providing necessary information to the visitors. The entrance will be illuminated by 96 LED Fasad lights to ensure safety even at night.

Additionally, a major electrical infrastructure upgrade is planned for the Naini industrial area, costing Rs 1,024.16 lakh (GST-free). This involves laying electrical cables through 33 kV overhead and 11 kV underground lines, ensuring high quality power supply to entrepreneurs.

Additionally, the new installation includes 855 street lights, eight high masts, 242 decorative poles, and cables, which will also provide nighttime lighting. At the same time, 16 additional CCTV cameras, an EV charging station and two digital display boards will also be installed.
