Yogi government geared up to get ‘Kayakalp Award’ for 122 CHCs of the state

Lucknow| Yogi government is continuously making efforts to provide quality treatment to the patients in health units. In such a situation, on the instructions of CM Yogi, preparations are going on in full swing from the district hospital to ‘Ayushman Arogya Mandir’ to get the National Quality Assurance Standard (Enquas) certificate.
Apart from this, health units are also being prepared for Kayakalp Award. In this sequence, the Mission Director of the National Health Mission has given instructions to conduct external assessment of 122 Community Health Centers (CHCs) as soon as possible.
Mission Director Dr. Pinky Jowal said that as per the intention of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, health units are being connected with technology to make the state ‘Uttam Pradesh’.
In this sequence, in a letter issued to all the Additional Directors and Chief Medical Officers of the state, Mission Director Dr. Pinky Jowell has directed that an external assessment of all these health units be conducted between 24 and 29 December. Three assessments and assessment dates have been fixed for each health unit.
According to the letter, seven each in Kanpur and Jaunpur, six each in Bareilly and Siddharthnagar, five each in Kanpur Dehat and Shahjahanpur, four each in Lucknow, Barabanki, Varanasi, Basti, Sant Kabirnagar, Agra, Bulandshahr, Bhadohi and Mathura, Fatehpur, Kaushambi, Pratapgarh, Sambhal, Pilibhit, Baghpat, GB Nagar, Saharanpur, Firozabad, Etah, Aligarh, Ambedkar Nagar, Mirzapur and Unnao, Amethi, Auraiya, two each in Hathras, Lakhimpur Kheri, Kasganj, External assessment of each Community Health Center (CHC) is to be done in Prayagraj.
Kayakalp Award is given for meeting these standards:-
• Improved medical facilities
• Cleanliness, hygiene at the health center
• Better waste management and infection control practices
