UP Cabinet meeting: Two private universities may get recognition, women gifts for Navratri

Lucknow| The cabinet meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday at 4 pm. In this, the proposal regarding recognition of two private universities may get the green signal. A proposal for incentive amount to a private university opened earlier may also be passed. Apart from this, two proposals of the Industrial Development Department are also likely to be approved.

Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh issued instructions to celebrate the 155th Gandhi Jayanti celebrations on October 2 in splendor. Along with hoisting the national flag at all government buildings, he also gave instructions about debate competitions in offices and schools, lectures on Gandhiji’s life struggle, his service to the country and life values and other programs. Also asked to discuss about public participation and awareness to create an environment of peace and harmony.

For the empowerment of women, the state government will launch the fifth phase of the ambitious Mission Shakti program on October 3, the first day of Navratri. Under this, a women’s health helpline will be launched for women, especially in rural areas. Health helpline will be started on the lines of Women Power Line 1090. The aim is to give accessible healthcare support to women who often face obstacles in discussing health issues. Through this women will be given the facility of tele-consultation with gynecologists. This will free rural women from visiting remote hospitals. This helpline will help in providing confidential medical aid to women. This will improve health services in rural UP.

According to the Women and Child Protection Organization, the new health helpline will also help women solve problems related to maternal health, reproductive health and mental health. Mission Shakti was launched on 17 October 2020. This was followed by the second phase on 26 February 2021, the third phase on 21 August 2021 and the fourth phase on 14 October 2022. Now in the fifth phase the focus has been on women’s health.
