New Delhi| After the implementation of three new criminal laws in the country, Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to the media and gave information about the changes taking place due to the new laws. During this he said that the laws made by the British have now ended. New laws are being implemented in the country, in which more emphasis has been laid on giving justice to the victim instead of punishing the accused. Amit Shah said that new laws have been made by the Parliament of India. The new laws will reduce trials. Old sections have been removed and new sections have been added, now the emphasis is on justice instead of punishment.

According to Indian law, till now every criminal was punished according to the Indian Penal Code. This penal code was created in 1860. At the same time, now punishment will be given under the Indian Code of Justice, which got the approval of the Parliament last year. The Indian Penal Code (IPC) had 511 sections.
