‘Stay away from mobile phones and drugs’- CM Yogi success mantra to the players

Lucknow| Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath honored the players who bought glory to the country and the state at the global level in Lucknow. During this, CM Yogi also gave the mantra of success to the youth and players.

In a program organized in honor of the players at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Chief Minister Yogi said that today smart phones have emerged as the biggest challenge for the young generation. This affects both the time and labor of the youth. He said that players should stay away from drugs, drug addiction is the cause of destruction, the one who goes towards drugs will no longer be worthy of anyone in life.

CM Yogi said that the youth should prepare themselves, the central and state governments are creating a suitable environment for their facilities. Make youth sports a part of your life. For this, sports facilities are being developed in the cities and villages of the state. Along with good training, good trainers are also being provided. Encouraging the youth towards sports, CM Yogi also shared the inspiring story of the players who came to the felicitation ceremony.

In the felicitation ceremony, Chief Minister Yogi distributed prize honor money of Rs 22.70 crore to all these players who have brought glory to the state. Among them, seven medal winners, Olympians and Paralympians and seven other participating Olympians and Paralympians were present. The medal winners honored included Praveen Kumar, Suhas LY, Ajit Singh, Preeti Pal, Simran, Lalit Upadhyay and Raj Kumar Pal.

Chief Minister Yogi said that whether the competition is small or big, it provides an opportunity to the players to move forward. Today the atmosphere of sports has changed in the country. The planned efforts for the promotion of sports and players in the last 10 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi have yielded results in front of everyone today. ‘Khelo India Campaign’, ‘Fit India Movement’ and ‘Sansad Sports Competition’ have changed the sports environment across the country.

CM Yogi said that now league competitions have started at the university level and sports competitions at the village level, which has provided a platform to the players to move forward. ‘Eklavya Krida Koshtha’ has been formed within the state. The first sports university in the name of Major Dhyan Chand is also being constructed in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The state government is not lagging behind in allocating funds to the players. The state sports department is with the youth to join the sports world and bring glory to the country and the state by winning medals.

CM Yogi called upon the players present at the function that the players of the state should showcase their talent on global platforms and win as many medals as possible. The state government has decided to make the players of the state who make the country and the state proud in sports gazette officers. Two players will become Deputy Superintendent of Police, two Naib Tehsildars, and two players will become District Youth Welfare Officers.
