Share Market: Heavy fall in stock market on last day of year; Sensex slips 468 points, Nifty also falls
New Delhi| The domestic stock market started with a decline on the last day of the year 2024. Sensex fell by 468.14 points to 77,779.99 in early trade. Similarly, Nifty slipped 117.05 points to reach 23,527.85 points.
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were selling on Monday and sold shares worth a net Rs 1,893.16 crore, according to stock market data. With this, the rupee fell by nine paise in early trade to reach 85.61 against the US dollar.
