Proposal to increase toll on Yamuna Expressway approved, will come into effect from October 1

Lucknow| An important decision was taken in the board meeting of Yamuna Authority. In this board meeting, the proposal to increase the toll rate on Yamuna Expressway has been approved. After this, the new rates will be implemented from October 1. Around 35,000 vehicles pass through Yamuna Expressway daily. According to the information, in the new increased rates, Rs 247.50 will be charged for two-wheelers, three-wheelers and registered tractors. At the same time, Rs 486.75 will be charged for car, jeep, van and light vehicle and Rs 1,542.75 will be charged from bus-truck.

Yamuna Expressway connects directly to NCR to Mathura, Agra and further to Lucknow Expressway. This 165 km long expressway has three tolls, which are in Jewar, Mathura and Agra in Noida. Yamuna Authority CEO Arunveer Singh said that for the last two years, there was a continuous demand from the toll administration to increase the rates. But, every time the proposal was being rejected in the board meeting. The increased rates will be applied from 1 October.
