Process of settlement of Akharas in Kumbh area started

Prayagraj| The activity of saints and sages has started increasing in the Kumbh area. The process of settlement of Akharas, the biggest attraction of public faith in Mahakumbh, has started. On the instructions of CM Yogi, the Kumbh Mela administration has started allotting land for setting up a cantonment in the Kumbh area with the consent of the saints of the Akharas.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision of organizing a divine and grand Mahakumbh has started taking shape in the Kumbh area. The first step in this direction, the process of allotment of land to Akharas, symbols of Sanatan culture, started. From Monday, allotment of land was started by the Kumbh Mela administration to the monks and saints of Udasin Akharas to set up their cantonment in the fair area.

Additional Kumbh fair Officer Vivek Chaturvedi says that on the first day of allotment, land has been allotted in the Kumbh area of ten Akharas with the consent of the saints. Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad President Mahant Ravindra Puri says that on the first day, land was allotted for Sanyasi and Udasin Akharas. With the cooperation of the administration, now after the process of Bhoomi Pujan, other traditions will be completed here.

With the agreement for allotment of land in all the Akharas, a team of Kumbh fair administration officials along with the sages and saints of the Akharas reached the Akhara sector in the Kumbh Mela area. Here the Akharas were shown their land by the fair administration where their cantonment is to be set up. The Akharas demarcated their lands on completely flat land. After this, the tradition of burying pegs in Kumbh area was completed.

Akhara Parishad President Mahant Ravindra Puri says that along with land demarcation in the fair area, the Akharas have buried their pegs. Now all the programs of the Akharas will be conducted from this land. Mahant Jamuna Puri, Secretary of Shri Panchayati Akhara Maha Nirvani, says that as per the established tradition of Kumbh, we have received land from the fair administration. Now the settlement work will be completed as per the pre-planned plan of the Akhara.

A plan for allotment of land for the Akharas was made by the fair authority on 18 and 19 November. Accordingly,  a coordination meeting was organized between the fair administration and the Akharas at the headquarters of Shri Panchayati Akhara Bada Udasin Nirvana. In the meeting itself, the final approval was given on the allotment of land for the Akharas in the fair area.

After the conclusion of the meeting, Akhara Parishad President Mahant Ravindra Puri said, “All 13 Akharas of us are united and we are ready on the land that the fair administration will give us”. It is our fair, our Chief Minister is Yogi ji. Wherever the land is allotted to us, we will happily mark it

Mahant Ravindra Puri said, “Everyone’s problems were heard in the meeting and solutions have been found”. Representatives of 10 Akharas attended this meeting. We have also talked to the remaining three Akharas. We are all one. We had asked the administration to increase land and facilities, which the administration has accepted.  Land was allotted to ten Akharas. The remaining three Vaishnav Akharas will have land allotment on 19 November.
