Actually, most of the people eat only Poha, hence no one would have thought that it would also make cheela. But, poha cheela can also be a great option for breakfast. Besides, people also like its taste very much. So, if you have never made Poha Cheela then let us tell you its recipe.
Ingredients for making Poha Cheela
Poha – 1 cup, half cup rice flour, 2 tablespoons yogurt, 1 chopped tomato, 1 chopped onion, salt as per taste, green chilli chopped, green coriander chopped, half teaspoon red chilli powder, pinch turmeric, half teaspoon cumin powder, half teaspoon coriander powder, oil for greasing
Method to make Poha Cheela:
Step 1: To make Poha Cheela, first wash 1 cup of poha with water. After that add half a cup of paane to the poha and grind it. Take out poha paste in a big bowl. Now add half a cup of rice flour and 2 tablespoons of curd. Keep in mind that the consistency of the batter should be light thick. Now cover this paste and keep it aside.
Step 2: Now finely chop onion, tomato and vegetables of your choice. And mix them in poha batter. Now cut green chillies in batter, cut green coriander, half teaspoon red chilli powder, pinch of turmeric, half teaspoon cumin powder, half teaspoon coriander powder. Mix one Eno packet and salt as per taste. And keep the batter like this for five minutes.
Step 3: Now in the next step turn on the gas and place a pan on it. When the pan is hot, release the batter from a ladle and spread it well on the pan. Keep the gas flame medium and flip the chila over after 2 minutes. When the cheela turns brown on both sides, apply light oil and grease it and then turn off the gas. Your hot poha cheela is ready, eat it with coriander and mint chutney.
