Prayagraj: Flood danger rise as Ganga swells, administration issues alert 

Prayagraj| There was some relief on Wednesday amid the water being released from the barrages. The water level of Ganga and Yamuna became stable at 8 pm. Irrigation department officials took relief from the stable water level of Ganga in Chhatnag and Yamuna in Naini. However, officers have been kept on alert due to the continuous release of water from all the barrages.

The water level of Ganga in Phaphamau was 78.33 meters at eight o’clock on Wednesday. Here the water in Ganga increased by one centimeter in four hours.  On the other hand, the water level of Ganga in Chhatnag was 75.80 meters and the water level of Yamuna in Naini was 75.82 meters. The water level remained stable at both these places from 4 pm to 8 pm.
