New Delhi| The announcement of resignation of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has created an uproar in politics. BJP is scared of this political resignation. All BJP leaders are issuing statements on this. The special thing is that the day Kejriwal has announced his resignation i.e. on 17th September is the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He announced his resignation while addressing workers at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) office on Sunday. Kejriwal also showed the book ‘Bhagat Singh’s Jail Diary’ on the occasion, which reflects the historical context of his resignation. Kejriwal said, “BJP has accused me of dishonesty and corruption”. Now my integrity will be decided in the court of the public”. He clarified that he would resign on 17 September, the birthday of PM Narendra Modi, and would not sit in the Chief Minister’s chair until the elections. He also told that Manish Sisodia will also not accept any post. Delhi Minister Atishi said that due to September 17 being a working day, Kejriwal has taken 2 days to resign. After resigning, the Delhi legislature party will elect a new Chief Minister. Possible names include Atishi, Kailash Gehlot, Gopal Rai, Saurabh Bhardwaj and Sunita Kejriwal. Additionally, Kejriwal’s focus will now be on the Haryana Assembly election, in which AAP has fielded candidates on all 90 seats. He can also campaign in Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections.
