PM Modi to address election rallies in Srinagar and Katra
Jammu| The second phase of voting will be held in Jammu and Kashmir on 25 September. In such a situation, leaders of political parties are addressing election rallies loudly. In this sequence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address election rallies in Srinagar and Katra on Thursday. PM Modi will address an election rally at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium in Srinagar at around 12 noon. PM Modi will then address another rally at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Sports Complex in Katra at around 3 pm.
This will be PM Modi’s first election rally for the ongoing assembly elections in the valley. Earlier, he addressed a public meeting for BJP in Doda, Jammu on 14 September. BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh has said that PM Modi’s visit to Jammu and Kashmir will prove to be a ‘game changer’.
While talking to journalists after visiting Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium on Wednesday, Tarun Chugh had said, “The people of Jammu and Kashmir love the Prime Minister”. We have seen in the past that whenever he has come to Jammu and Kashmir, a large number of people have welcomed him. The Prime Minister’s visit on Thursday will be a game changer, but also a milestone, for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Jammu and Kashmir Police has made tight security arrangements in coordination with the Special Protection Group (SPG) responsible for the security of the Prime Minister. A large number of people are expected to come to listen to PM Modi at the Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium located in Ram Munshi Bagh area of Srinagar. Entry arrangements will be made for those participating in the program in Srinagar. Police said that some traffic diversions will also be done to conduct the rally smoothly. “There is a detailed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the Prime Minister’s visit, which we are implementing very closely”, police said.
