PM Modi shares Sanskrit Subhashitam on self-respect, courage and steadfastness

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam highlighting the importance of self-respect, courage and dignity, and emphasising the need to remain steadfast in one’s principles and values.
Sharing the Subhashitam on X, the Prime Minister wrote:
“उद्यच्छेदेव न नमेदुद्यमो ह्येव पौरुषम्।
अप्यपर्वणि भज्येत न नमत्वेव कस्यचित्॥”
The Subhashitam conveys that a person should live with self-respect, courage and dignity. It emphasises that true valour and strength lie in standing firm on one’s principles and values without compromising them under any circumstances.
The message also underlines the importance of remaining steadfast in one’s ideals with truth, patience and self-pride.
Through the Sanskrit verse, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the significance of inner strength and determination in facing challenges while upholding one’s values and dignity.
