New Delhi| NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting is being held in the country’s capital Delhi on Saturday under the chairmanship of PM Narendra Modi.  Chief Ministers of block states have boycotted this meeting. However, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has participated in the meeting. Hemant Soren has sent one of his representatives to attend the meeting. Earlier, Mamata Banerjee said that she will present the problems and needs of Bengal in the NITI Aayog meeting. In Delhi, Mamata Banerjee held a meeting with Trinamool Congress MPs and met Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal at the residence.

Mamta Banerjee said, ‘I have once again raised my voice to stop this NITI Aayog. They have no financial rights. They can’t do anything. They call a meeting once a year to show their faces. Please bring the Planning Commission back. Planning Commission should be the real basic structure of the country, like they used to do earlier. This was the plan of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, and since independence this Planning Commission has done a lot of work for the country and the states.’

Chief Ministers of Congress ruled states are boycotting the NITI Aayog meeting. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan are also not attending the NITI Aayog meeting. At the same time, Chief Ministers of BJP and NDA ruled states have reached Delhi. UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and CMs of many other states is attending the meeting.
