Parliament Session- Fierce debate in the Rajya Sabha between the Chairman and the Leader of the Opposition
New Delhi| The proceedings of the Parliament session continued on for the 7th day. A fierce debate was seen in the Rajya Sabha between Leader of Opposition Kharge and Chairman Dhankhar। Congress MP Mallikarjun Kharge said – “Sonia Gandhi is the one who made me. Neither Ramesh can make it, nor you can make it, the public made me.”
On this, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar said – “I do not want to come to that level. You know who created you. There were so many occasions when your reputation got hit, I saved your reputation.” He said ,”You can’t let the chair down every time. You cannot disrespect the chair every time। You suddenly stand up and say anything without understanding what I am saying. Never in the history of this country and parliamentary democracy and the proceedings of the Rajya Sabha has there been as much disregard for the Chair as you have done। Now it’s time for you to introspect.”
