Ingredients for making milk barfi
Milk- 1 litre (full cream)
Sugar – 1 cup (or as per taste)
Cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp
Almonds, cashews, pistachios (finely chopped) – for garnishing

Method of making milk barfi
1. To make milk barfi, first of all put milk in a thick bottomed pan and boil it on medium flame.
2. Keep in mind, you have to keep stirring it continuously so that the milk does not stick down.
3. You boil the milk until it is half its quantity and thickens.
4. This process may take you some time, but keep stirring it continuously during this time.
5. When the milk becomes thick, add sugar to it and mix well. Cook until the sugar is completely dissolved.
6. Now add cardamom powder to it and mix. This will give a unique taste to Barfi.
7. Turn off the gas and let the mixture cool slightly. Then apply lubricant in an ice tray and add the cooled mixture to it.
8. Finally garnish with finely chopped nuts on top, then refrigerate it for at least 4-5 hours so it sets.
9. Then when it sets, cut the barfi into desired shapes and offer it to the mother.
