In fact, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has come into mission mode for excellent road connectivity in every gram panchayat, town, town area, city and metropolis. The Chief Minister has asked all the MPs, MLAs to prepare proposals in 15 days for the construction of new road, bypass, or bridge in their area and repair of old ones. He said that there is no shortage of funds for roads. In such a situation, all the public representatives should discuss with the core committee in the presence of the minister in-charge of their district and prepare the proposal in collaboration with the district administration.

CM Yogi said that wherever there is a need for a new road, the old one has to be repaired, bridge construction, ring road/bypass, major/other district road or service lane etc. are required, public representatives should send proposals, immediate decision will be taken from the government level. Even if an area has a population of at least 250 people, there should still be access to a paved road.

The Chief Minister said that public representatives of the districts where there is no bypass road should prepare proposals as per requirement. Adequate budget has also been kept for better connectivity of areas important from religious, spiritual, historical or mythological point of view. To encourage tourism, it is necessary to widen/strengthen the roads of such areas.

The Chief Minister said that better connectivity is necessary in the Industrial/Logistic Park/Sugar Mill area. Similarly, if tehsil and block headquarters are not connected by two lane road anywhere, immediate information should be given. Work is going on to improve interstate or international connectivity. ‘Maitri Dwar’ is also to be prepared on the border. Public representatives should give their proposals in this regard too.

In the meeting, the Chief Minister also directed to complete the statewide campaign of repair of roads and pothole freeing which is currently going on in the first phase by 10th October. The Chief Minister directed to remain active at ‘Zero Point’ to take action against overloading of heavy vehicles. He said that instead of checking the road by disrupting normal traffic, action should be taken from where the vehicle has started moving. Administrative officers of all zones, divisions, ranges and districts were also present in the meeting.
