Lucknow building collapse – A three-member committee constituted by CM Yogi to investigate the matter

Lucknow| State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath  constituted a three-member committee in the case of building collapse in Transport Nagar area of Lucknow. A committee was formed under the chairmanship of  Home Secretary Dr. Sanjeev Gupta. Secretary Balkar Singh and Chief Engineer Vijay Kanojia have been made members of the committee.

After investigation, the committee has been instructed to submit the report to the government as soon as possible. CM Yogi wrote in a post on social media platform X, “A three-member committee has been formed to thoroughly investigate the tragic incident of collapse of a commercial building in Sarojini Nagar of district Lucknow”. The investigation committee will investigate the reasons for the incident as a whole and submit its investigation report to the government as soon as possible

So far 8 people have died and 28 people have been reported injured in this accident. The injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Police have also registered a case against the building owner. The Chief Minister of the state reached Lokbandhu Hospital on Sunday and met the injured and inquired about their well being. During this, CM Yogi also talked to the doctors and gave instructions for better treatment of the injured.

The news of building collapse came to light in Transport Nagar of Sarojini Nagar police station area on Saturday. This building was built about four years ago. It is being told that some work was going on on the ground floor of the building. Meanwhile, the building suddenly collapsed.
