Jharkhand train accident: Howrah-Mumbai Express train derails, helpline numbers issued
A train accident took place in Chakradharpur, Jharkhand in the early hours of Tuesday. Howrah-Mumbai Express derailed near Barabambo railway station of Chakradharpur. 18 coaches of the train derailed. So far, two passengers have been confirmed dead in the accident, while more than 150 people are said to be injured. The passengers have been admitted to RIMS Hospital in Ranchi and government and private hospitals around Chakradharpur. After the accident, Railways has issued helpline numbers. It is being told that two days ago a goods train was derailed in the area, whose wagons were on the track. Mumbai Mail Express collided with coaches already lying on the track. After this accident, 18 bogies were overturned from the tracks. Relief and rescue work is under progress at the spot.
