Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren meets PM Modi

New Delhi| According to the information given by the Prime Minister’s Office, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren met PM Modi at his residence in Delhi today. Hemant Soren also presented a bouquet to PM Modi. On the other hand, CM Hemant Soren called this meeting a courtesy call. He wrote on X – “Courtesy full meeting with Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji.”

Assembly elections in Jharkhand can be held in October, two months ahead of schedule. Haryana and Maharashtra assembly elections are due in the same month. Same schedule  under which the process of updating and revising the pre-poll voter list is under process in these two states and is being followed in Jharkhand too. On this basis, there are indications that Jharkhand elections will be held along with these two states.

A team from the Election Commission of India visited Jharkhand on 10th and 11th July. Senior Deputy Election Commissioners Dharmendra Sharma and Nitesh Vyas met State Chief Electoral Officer and held a review meeting with Ravi Kumar and election officials of all 24 districts and took stock of voter list revision and preparations for polling stations.
