Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday paid tributes to Bharat Ratna Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar on his birth anniversary, recalling his enduring contribution to social justice and nation-building.

In a post on social media platform X, the Chief Minister described Dr Ambedkar as a pioneer of equality and a key architect of modern India. He said Babasaheb’s emphasis on education and equal rights played a vital role in advancing women’s empowerment and strengthening the foundation of a just society.

Mohan Yadav noted that Dr Ambedkar’s lifelong struggle for the upliftment of the deprived, oppressed and marginalised sections continues to inspire generations. He said Ambedkar’s ideas and efforts remain a guiding force for building an inclusive and equitable nation.

Meanwhile, grand celebrations are being held at Dr Ambedkar’s birthplace in Mhow, near Indore, where a large number of people have gathered to mark the occasion with devotion and enthusiasm. The Chief Minister is scheduled to attend the commemorative event along with several dignitaries.

According to official information, elaborate arrangements have been put in place to manage the large turnout. The event परिसर has been divided into seven sectors, with teams of officials from various departments deployed for coordination. Three control rooms have also been set up at the tehsil premises.

Special provisions for emergency medical services have been arranged at six locations in Mhow, with teams of doctors on duty. Sanitation and cleanliness measures have been ensured by local bodies, while fire safety arrangements have also been made.

Dr B.R. Ambedkar, popularly known as Babasaheb, was the chief architect of the Indian Constitution and served as independent India’s first Law and Justice Minister. Born into a socially disadvantaged family, he emerged as a leading voice for the rights of marginalised communities and remains a symbol of social transformation.

He was conferred the Bharat Ratna, the country’s highest civilian award, in 1990.
