New Delhi| Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that derogatory remarks against deities, great men or saints belonging to any caste, creed or sect are unacceptable, but anarchy in the name of protest will also not be tolerated. While reviewing the law and order situation with the Chief Secretary, DGP, Additional Chief Secretary Home and senior officials of other departments in view of the festivals on Monday, the Chief Minister said that the faith of every sect and sect should be respected. Every citizen should have a feeling of gratitude towards great men, but this cannot be forced and cannot be forcibly imposed on anyone.

The Chief Minister said that if any person plays with faith, makes indecent remarks against the faith of great men, gods, goddesses, sects etc., then he will be brought under the ambit of law and punished harshly, but all religions, sects, People of the community will have to respect each other. The Chief Minister said that anarchy, vandalism or arson in the name of protest is not acceptable, whoever commits such audacity will have to pay the price for it.

The Chief Minister directed the police administration to ensure that the festival of Navratri Vijayadashami is celebrated amidst joy, peace and cordial atmosphere in every district and every police station. Identify those who spoil the environment and take strict action. Deal strictly with those who act against the law. Instructing to ensure women safety, the Chief Minister said that foot patrolling and patrolling of PRV 112 should be intensified in crowded areas. He said that safety and facilities of women and daughters should be ensured, for this all departments should work together.
